The way I see it, EVERY Friday is a good day and this Friday is no exception.
It’s no secret that I have a seriously disliking for cold weather and so I was not a happy camper when the temps hit record lows this week. I know I live in the Rocky Mountains and home to Fraser, Colorado, the “Icebox of the Nation” and one of seven coldest places in the world to live, but that doesn’t mean I find anything pleasant about sub-arctic temps that make me feel like I’m living in the coldest inhabited area on Earth.
Frankly, the only thing I like about winter is my Zara down jacket, but even that can’t save me from the wrath of an arctic blast. Shockingly cold temps aside, the worst part was having to commute to and from work. My causal thirty minute drive was doubled nearly every day this week and was even quadrupled on Tuesday. No one wants to spend 2 hours in the car trying to go all of 14 miles.
Today is the first day this week that the sun is peaking through the clouds and the roads are clear of ice and slush. Today is a good day and not only because it’s Friday or because it isn’t pipe bursting, bone chillingly cold, but because I get to share a new Fashionably Fit Wear collection with all of you.
Don’t worry, it’s supposed to snow again tomorrow. Luckily, I can always rely on some retail therapy to lift my chilled spirits.
